On February 24, 2013, Entertainment Explosion hosted the “A Really Big Shoe Seven” fundraising concert for homeless and needy kids. The concert took place at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Olympia. All monies raised - $27,000 for this Shoe and just over $157,000 in the first seven years - goes to the homeless and needy student funds in eight local school districts (Olympia, North Thurston, Tumwater, Shelton, Yelm, Rochester, Rainier, and Tenino) and to Community Youth Services. The money is used One Child at a Time for shoes, clothes, food, housing, school supplies, bus passes, or whatever the school coordinators deem appropriate. Big Shoe 8 is set for early March 2014.

Founded in 2006, Entertainment Explosion is a non-profit performing troupe, featuring our honored citizens, ages 55 and over. Individual members of our organization have been entertaining throughout Greater Puget Sound for several years and have now joined together to provide a variety show to audiences big and small. Because of a large cast from which to choose, we can offer productions from fifteen minutes to three hours in length, depending on your needs. We have various sized singing groups as well as soloists and, when space allows, we feature a potpourri of dancers.

Music is the universal language and no matter what genre you prefer, Entertainment Explosion will deliver.

For further information or to schedule a show to your particular needs, please call 360-357-4001 and our Event Coordinator will be happy to assist you.
